Upcoming search engine conferences and workshops, part 2

(May 16 2004, see also part 1) Are you looking for the latest on the SE scene, itching to meet colleagues and competition or do you simply need some inspiration?

Here are some more workshops taking place in the next few months. Please note that even if these dates do not fit with your schedule, these companies will offer more courses as time goes by.

TNT Workshops

TNT Workshops arranges two day basic search engine optimization courses for people with no search engine marketing experience. They tell us it is totally non technical and that you do not have to be a web designer to attend.

During the two days participants learn the difference between search engines and directories and how to get good rankings in both.

There are, for instance, specific sessions targeting keyword optimization, on creating content , on how to stay out of trouble with the search engines, how to submit pages and more.

The next courses are in Livonia, MI, USA on June 26 and 27 and August 14 and 15.

Another course provider is Search Engine Marketing Road Show, which offer one day workshops in search engine optimization.

These courses also include advertising strategies to make pay-per-click campaigns more profitable.

Among the topics covered are:

• Keyword research
• Ads and landing pages that turn visitors into buyers
• Bid management and tracking tools

The next session is in Portland, Oregon, USA on May 20.

Some of the upcoming workshops are sold out, but there is still room for more in New York on May 20, in Orlando on September 14 and in Boston on September 28. These workshops are only arranged in the USA.
