Pandia adds free search engine optimization and positioning tutorial(Press release, Oslo, May 9 2003) Pandia Search Central, the online guide to search engines, Web searching and search engine marketing, has published a new online tutorial on search engine optimization and positioning. The Pandia Search Engine Marketing 101 is the new addition to the popular site's arsenal of search engine related resources. "Our Web tutorial on Internet searching, the Goalgetter, has become a huge success," editor Per Koch says, "and is actually used by schools and universities on both sides of the Atlantic. "One reason is probably it's popular approach. Even beginner's to the Internet find it easy to read." "Now we would like to do the same for the search engine optimization audience," co-editor Susanne Koch says. "We have written a short and easy beginner's guide to search engine positioning. "It contains the essential basics any webmaster must know in order to start improving her site's ranking in the search engines. Then we tell the reader where to go for more in depth information." The Search Engine Marketing 101 tutorial is targeting three types of readers:
"There are a lot of charlatans out there," Per Koch says, "so-called 'search engine optimization experts' that promise you to fix your metatags and submit your site to a thousand search engines. After having read this guide, website owners will know exactly which questions to ask the search engine marketer." What about the serious search engine optimization experts -- will they learn anything from this? "Probably not," Susanne replies. "However, they may enjoy our excerpts from The Lost Apocrypha of Search Engine Marketing!" She refuses with a smile to divulge what these quotations actually contain. The tutorial includes tips on how to select the best search query keyword phrases, how to optimize webpage elements, and how to design a search engine friendly site. There is also information on how to increase your link popularity, how and when to submit your site to the search engines, on how to check your rankings and more. The Search Engine Marketing 101 tutorial can be found at http://www.pandia.com/marketing101/ The Pandia Search Central is an online guide to search engines, Internet searching and search engine optimization. It includes tools, news and resources related to the topic of search engines, as well as its own metasearch engine, new search engine, Web directory and online radio catalog. It is edited and owned by Per and Susanne Koch, a couple living in Oslo, Norway.
