Upcoming search engine conferences and workshops

Here are some conferences taking place in the next few months:

Pubconference IV in Boston April 26th

Pubconference logoThis is the fourth Pubconference organized by WebmasterWorld.com, the Internet’s largest forum system for webmasters and the search engine marketing community. Featured speakers include Tim Mayer from Fast Search and Transfer, Matt Cutts from Google and Paul Gardi from AskJeeves/Teoma.

“We’ve expanded our unique format to cater for the greater demand of our delegates and sponsors, so we’ll now open the registration desk at 8am,” says Brett Tabke, WebmasterWorld’s owner and conference organizer. “We’re making it a longer day to fit in more exhibitors and speakers as well as making room for more delegates.”

The agenda includes continental breakfast, speaker presentations, Q&A sessions conference networking sessions at a secret location in Boston (!).

You’ll meet representatives and exhibitors from over 20 industry companies. One of the unique aspects of Pubconference is this opportunity for face-to-face discussions with the major search services and, of course, to discuss current issues with Internet specialists and more than 300 of their peers.

Search Engine Strategies Conference

Danny Sullivan's Search Engine Strategies will be going to Sydney March 26 –27.

Keynote presenter day 1 will Omid Kordestani, Senior VP of Worldwide Sales, who will speak on Google, Global Trends in Search Marketing. On day 2 we’ll hear from Evan Thornley, Founder and Chairman, Looksmart Ltd who will talk about Search Engine Marketing: Targeted and Relevant Advertising.

Speakers include Looksmart, Altavista, Google, Redsheriff, Yahoo, and Ninemsn.

There will be a Search Engine Strategies Conference & Expo in London June 3-4 2003. The program for this event is not yet published.

Search Engine Workshops

At Search Engine Workshops you can study with Robin Nobles and John Alexander. The next scheduled workshop is April 5-9 in Denver

The workshop is organized in such a way that you can attend with others in your own experience level and the price includes support for six months.

You can now choose between a 2-day beginners workshop, a 3-day advanced workshop and a 5-day all-inclusive workshop.

The Direct Marketing Association Annual Catalog Conference

The Annual Catalog Conference (ACC) is the world's largest conference and exhibition dedicated to the catalog industry. The conference provides the latest advances, information, technology and solutions.

This year, June 1-3, The ACC will include a search engine marketing lab and a usability lab. They will be moderated by Heather Lloyd-Martin.
