GooglePreview extension for Firefox
Are you among the scores of web surfers that are more visually than textually oriented? Or are you simply looking for ways to brighten the hours spent online?
Either way, a new extension for Firefox lets you enhance your search experience with thumbnail previews on your Google search. Once installed it gives each of your Google search results a little thumbnail with a preview of the page.
The thumbnails are provided by Thumbshots.org, an open initiative by Thumbshots.com, a provider of web preview technology. You can also see their thumbnail previews at Ask Jeeves. Point your mouse to the binocular icon by some of the search results, and a preview will pop up.
Like all Firefox extensions, GooglePreview is easy to install. You are likely to spend about a minute installing it, and if you should tire of the thumbnail previews, it is just as easy to uninstall. Your Firefox extensions are easily managed through the Tools -> Extensions menu.
Does this sound like just the thing for you, but you still haven’t installed Firefox? There’s no time like the present. It’s free, it’s safe, and it’s fun.
If you are already a Firefox fan, why not sign up to spread Firefox?
