Go fish for media files
Searchwebmedia claims to be the first ever search engine that spans both the world of web search results and universe of online multimedia content.
The new search engine is powered by the GoFish Technologies. The GoFish multimedia search directory covers a large collection of commercailly available content online and user-generated online multimedia.
When you perform a search on searchwebmedia, the results are returned in four categories: audio, video, mobile, and games.
For example, a search for Star Wars returns:
- 55 albums, 786 tracks, 4 audiobooks, 12 playlists, and 2 podcasts in the audio category,
- 5 crazy net videos, 6 movies, and 1 movie preview in the video category,
- 277 mobile images in the mobile category, and
- 56 game trailers in the games category.
The search also produces search results form Google, which is very convenient.
Searchwebmedia has an appealing user interface which is uncluttered and easy to navigate. It sports some bright colors too, which are likely to appeal to the predominantly younger searchers looking for game trailers and mobile images.
