Google expands search box
Google adjusts it search box to the length of your query.
Sometimes innovation is about the little things that makes life a little bit easier.
Google Operating System has found that Google will change the size of the search box after you have entered a long search query.
That is: the longer box will appear on the search engine result page. Google has apparently not yet found a way to expand the search box while you are writing (now, wouldn’t that be something!).
Search Engine Land adds that Yahoo! and Live Search continue to stick to smaller sizes.
We can add that Pandia has had a loooooong search box policy for several years now.
Go to our special netsearch page for a spacious search form. Use the pull down menu to access Google and the other major search engines.
