Pandia search engine news swicky (Weekend Wrap-up Dec 9 2007)

search engine newsEurexter’s free custom search engines — the swickis — are out of beta. Swickis are social search technology: As visitors search, vote and click, your swicki generates more relevant results and turns into a valuable asset for you and your community.

Swickis are now more social than ever:

  • All swickis have an RSS feeds.
  • When visitors search your swicki, they can rate the search results.
  • There’s an option for visitors to “grab” your swicky and embed it on their own site, iGoogle and more.
  • If your site has a Blogroll, those sites will automatically be favored in your results.
  • Möbius: Automatically surfaces new and interesting content into the buzzcloud, keeping the swicki relevant and fresh.

Pandia has a search engine news swicki. We use it to enrich our Search Engine Detective page, where you can search search engine blogs and sites in many ways.

Our search engine news swicki is also a widget at Widgetbox.

You might also want to check out Eurexter’s directory of swickis.
