Search Engine College launches Search Engine Wiki
Kalena and Jerry Jordan of Search Engine College have launched a wiki on search engines called — well — Search Engine Wiki.
The idea is to use the collective efforts of search engine enthusiasts to turn the Search Engine Wiki into an online encyclopedia for search engine related issues.
“Search Engine Wiki actually began life as a massive collection of bookmarks, tools and site links that we’d gathered over the past 10 years as search engine optimization consultants”, says Kalena.
“As I was constantly referencing these within the SEO courses that I teach at Search Engine College and in my Search Engine Advice Column, I realized that the collection would make fantastic starter content for a community-driven wiki. Last year, we discovered that the perfect domain (SearchEngineWiki.com) was available and it seemed like serendipity. We’ve been growing the Wiki ever since.”
Anybody can make comments on the content available. If you want to become an editor, however, you should get in touch with Kalena.
[Update: Kaleena writes to inform us that “We have now opened up the wiki so the general public can sign themselves up as editors and create pages, add comments etc. They no longer need to contact us to become editors.”]
Search Engine College is an Australian online training institution for search engine optimization and marketing.
