Pandia Weekend Wrap-up Oct 14
This week ComScore presented the first global search engine usage statistics. No surprises there: Google dominates world searching as it does the American and European markets.
In August more than 750 million people, an estimated 95 percent of the worldwide Internet audience, made some 61 billion searches according to ComScore.
The sites of Google took care of some 37.1 billion of these searches.
Yahoo! was number 2 with 8.5 billion queries. Chinese search engine Baidu ranked third with 3.2 billion, followed by MSN/Live Search with approximately 2.2 billion queries.
Gmail increases free mail storage capacity
A few weeks ago we asked Google for more Gmail storage. Now the Google Gmail Blog says that they will boost storage.
Googlified reckons that free storage will reach 4.2 GB by the 23rd of this month. If that’s not enough, you may pay to get more.
