SMX search engine marketing conferences in Europe and the US

SMX is the conference series of Danny Sullivan and Chris Sherman of Search Engine Watch and Search Engine Land fame. Given that these two are some of the most respected search engine marketing experts on the planet, these venues are learning arenas to look out for.

SMX Social Media - New York City, October 16-17, 2007
This is a conference about Facebook, digg, Stumbleupon and all the other types of social media and how they can be included in search engine marketing strategies.

SMX Stockholm - October 31 - November 1, 2007
The first Scandinavian SMX event ever. The conference is covering both organic and paid search.

SMX Travel@PhoCusWright - Orlando, November 12-13, 2007
This US conference is for search marketers who specialize in the travel industry. It will be produced in conjunction with the travel industry consultancy PhoCusWright

SMX London - November 15-16, 2007
This UK conference is a two day search engine marketing conference and expo with a focus on the competence needs of experts.

UPDATE Oct 6 2007:

SMX Buenos Aires will be held October 24. The event features keynote presentations from Google, Yahoo’s Ricardo Baeza-Yates on webspam and search, and a presentation on preventing click fraud from Dr. Shanahan.

SMX Santiago de Chile will be held October 25-26 in conjunction with the eighth annual Society of Information Technology Summit and in collaboration with the University of Chile and the Center for Web Research.
