Upcoming workshop on European search technologies
On October 10 there will be a workshop in Geneva, Switzerland, on various national initiatives to support research and technical development in audio-visual content processing, indexing and searching.
The focus is on research on what has been called “the next generation Internet” using semantic technologies in European countries.
The following initiatives will be presented:
- Quaero (France)
- THESEUS (Germany)
- iAD (Norway)
- MultimediaN (Holland)
- IM2 (Switzerland)
- Mundo AV(Spain)
The event is to encourage interaction between these initiatives, relevant European R&D projects, the European Commission and the participants.
The conference is open for all, and is arranged by CHORUS. CHORUS is a European consortium of public and private groups which aims at carrying out research into multimedia search.
