Academics get access to Google search data
Researchers studying web search behavior may now get access to parts of Google’s raw data.
Academics that sign up for the Google Research University Research Program for Google Search will get access to basic information about specific search queries performed by searchers using Google’s search engine.
It seems the data include web search results limited by rate, number of results, and daily maximum queries.
You will have to sign an agreement to get this access. The data obtained through the research must, for instance, be made available to the general public. You may not display, distribute or otherwise provide search results, URLs, or titles obtained through to third parties.
We are pretty confident that Google will not accept search engine marketers as researchers
