Searchnomics - another search engine marketing conference series
The Webguild of Silicon Valley launches new search engine marketing conference in Santa Clara.
Last week Pandia covered the Search Engine Strategies New York conference, and there are quite a few others including Danny Sullivan’s new SMX conference for experts and Webmaster World’s Pubconference (see our Search engine marketing conferences and workshops article for more info).
Now there is a new kid on the block called Searchnomics. The first one takes place in Santa Clara, US, on June 27.
The conference targets search engine marketers, SEO and web analytics professionals, online advertisers and publishers, Internet marketing professionals, webmasters and designers, interactive agency professionals, e-commerce managers, media planners and more.
So what makes it different from the other venues?
The Webguild of Silicon Valley argues that their conference that is “the only industry event of its kind that focuses on the business and economics of search.”
This presumably means that they will go deeper into the economic side of search engine marketing, although we are not quite sure what that will mean in practice. All these conferences look at the economics of search.
That being said, the conference seems to cover an interesting range of topics, including strategies to maximize your search marketing ROI, best practices to track, analyze, and improve SEM and SEO campaigns, optimization techniques and new trends.
There are four sets of five parallel sessions. So far none of the speakers are listed (and they are looking for more), but the fact that Google is the main sponsor might indicate that this is the place to get access to Google intelligence.
