Mojeek adds customization to personal search
Designing your own search engine with Mojeek.
Pandia reported on the new Mojeek search engine in February.
Mojeek has a feature called Mojeek Personal Search that lets you create your own topical or personal search index.
You can add and remove up till 1000 domains in the free version and more if you are willing to pay for it. In essence, UK based Mojeek is giving you the possibility of presenting your “own” search engine to your visitors.
Mojeek now reports that you can add your own header and footer to the personal search result pages as well, giving it the look and feel of your own site. Actually, Marc of Mojeek has been so kind as to design a Pandia version as an example!
We find that more and more search engines are willing to offer this kind of service. See our article Make your own search engine with the Yahoo Search Builder for more information. It also covers search engines beyond Yahoo!
