Andy Beal leaves Websourced and Search Engine Lowdown
(July 14 2005) Search engine marketing expert Andy Beal has left his position at the search marketing company Websourced.
And no, we do not normally report on the comings and goings of SEM company employees. Andy is, however, one of the best known experts in the field. Moreover he has been the man behind the very influential Search Engine Lowdown weblog, and he is one of Pandia’s guest writers.
In his resignation letter, which was posted in the blog, Andy says that he hopes to avoid any confusion as to why he decided to resign as VP of Marketing:
“This decision is not one that comes lightly. It is clear that my vision for the company’s future does not match-up with its current course.”
This post has now been removed from the blog, which is owned by the company.
Another SEO expert, Jason Dowdell, recently left the company of what seems to be similar reasons.
On the other hand Websourced has gained two other SEO “stars”, Mike Grehan and Heather Lloyd-Martin, through the CGI Holding Corporation’s hiring Lloyd-Martin.
CGI, now under the name of Think Partnership, owns Websourced.
Andy Beal plans to start a new blog.
