Yahoo! Desktop Search now supports Thunderbird Mail

(July 12 2005) Yahoo! Desktop Search is updated and now searches Thunderbird files. Thunderbird is a Mozilla based open-source mail client, a sister application for Firefox, which is growing in popularity. This is good news for Thunderbird users on Windows.

In addition to indexing Thunderbird files, the updated Yahoo! Desktop Search also features a simplified user interface and tabs.

The size of the download has been reduced. The standard download lets you search emails, MS Office docs, PDFs and other common file types. If you require support for less common file types, there is a separate expansion pack.
