The Yauba search engine - now in French
Search engine Yauba gets help from its twitter friends to translate the site into French.
We wrote about Yauba last month. It is a new search engine that focuses on protecting the privacy of the searcher.
Yauba has now launched its first Non-English version, and it has a French flavor.
CIO Ahmed Hossain tells us that this is the first in a series of international launches.
It is also the result of an interesting use of twitter.
“The translation into French as well as the proofreading was carried out entirely by volunteers who contacted us via twitter,” Hossain says.
“We have never met them, but they kindly agreed to help bring Yauba to their counties and as a result, we already have gotten translations from such volunteers for over 12 countries, which we will launch across the next 3 month.”
