Conference on multimedia search engines
The CHORUS conference on multimedia search engines will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on the 26th and 27th May 2009.
Registration Deadline extended to Friday 15th May.
CHORUS is a European Coordination Action which aims at creating the conditions of mutual information and cross fertilisation between the European projects dealing with Multimedia Content Search Engines. National and international initiatives are also included.
The conference will address the challenges, gaps, commonalities, difficulties, targeted/expected impacts and success criteria related to search initiatives.
The event will bring together high level representatives of various European and international initiatives that have been established to support research and technical development in the area of audio-visual content processing, indexing and search for the next generation Internet.
The CHORUS Conference is organised by the EU 6th Framework Program project CHORUS on behalf the European Commission. The event is the last major happening organised by the CHORUS project and the project will present the main results and findings.
The European Commission has great expectations regarding the results of the CHORUS project and will take actively part in the conference.
In parallel with the conference, there will also be an exhibition with more than 10 European research projects currently active in the area of multimedia search.
The registration deadline is Friday, 8th May 2009.
