Repository Search Service from Elsevier’s Scirus

(June 18 2005) Scirus Repository Search is a free science and technology search engine for the institutional repositories of digital data at universities and other research institutions.

Scirus Repository Search offers deep, thorough indexing and full-text delivery. The Scirus search engine already indexes many institutional repositories, including articles, presentations, reports etc. Those joining the new Scirus Repository Search service will receive more specialized and extensive indexing of a wider range of content.

The first institution to enter into collaboration with Scirus Repository Search is T-Space, the University of Toronto’s institutional repository.

The complete repository of T-Space, consisting of articles, datasets, preprints, presentations, technical reports and more, has been indexed. Users may search on all important bibliographical information such as author, title and keyword.

Scirus will brand the search results so that users can easily identify T-Space content in the results list.

The addition of content from T-Space and other institutions to join Scirus Repository Search in the future, adds to the already extensive Scirus index, making it an interesting source of science-focused content on the Web.
