Yahoo! Search Subscriptions Beta
(June 16 2005) Yahoo has launched Yahoo! Search Subscriptions Beta. This is a new service that allows you to search subscription sites not usually accessible by search engines. Subscribers will then have direct access to the articles.
At the time of launch, the service includes the following sources: Consumer Reports, FT.com (60 days), Forrester Research, IEEE publications, New England Journal of Medicine, TheStreet.com, Wall Street Journal (30 days).
You can search all of them or check a box to choose which sources to search. The search settings can be saved and even added to your regular Yahoo! Search using the preference tool.
If you are surfing at work and your office has subscriptions to some or all of these journals, Yahoo! Subscriptions will definitely be very convenient.
Even if you only hold a subscription to one of these sources, Yahoo! Search Subscriptions could be a useful tool.
