(June 13 2005) GoogSpy is a new tool for search engine optimizers that lets you know what Adwords your competitors use.

You type in a competitor’s name and see all ads they buy. You will also see the search terms where they rank in the top ten. GoogSpy also computes the company’s top 25 competitors.

Another application for this nifty tool is to search for your own web site and see which keywords you rank highly for. You might also find keywords you hadn’t thought of.

You may also consider running potential clients through GoogSpy as part of your research prior to a sales meeting to know how they advertise online and who their competition is.

GoogSpy.com is powered by Velocityscape’s data extraction product, Web Scraper Plus+. It extracts some 500,000 search results daily from Google and loads them into the GoogSpy.com database.
