Yahoo! will start using the Google search engine

June 2000

Google has definitely become one of the major players in the search engine field. As many of you will know, Yahoo! will feed searchers hits from the Inktomi search engine, if it cannot find any relevant sites in its own man made directory.

On June 26 Yahoo! and Google announced they have entered into an agreement that makes Google, Yahoo!'s default search results provider.

The Yahoo! directory is the most popular search site in the world. The Google search engine is becoming increasingly popular among searchers looking for accurate and relevant search results.
