Search engine newslettersThe search engine industry is in a constant flux, and if you want to stay up to date with the latest developments, you'll have to subscribe to at least one of the available search engine newsletters. Some of our readers are looking for news related to Web searching, others to search engine optimization and marketing. On this page we present newsletters that covers search engines in general, often including search as well as optimization related news. On page 2 you will find newsletters that focus on search engine marketing and optimization only. The Pandia PostThe Pandia Post is our own free newsletter on both Web searching and search engine optimization, promotion and marketing. On a bimonthly basis the Pandia Post gives you feature articles on the search engine industry, on new search tools, tips on how to improve your searching skills and your site's ranking in the search engines, reviews of relevant books, ebooks and sites and much more. Pandia Search World newsletter
You may subscribe to the Pandia Search World newsletter to get an email alert every time we add an original news story to this section. This newsletter also includes smaller news items included in the Pandia Search World web log. This newsletter is free, and you will -- in average -- get four or five of them each month. ResearchBuzzResearchBuzz is edited by Pandia Award winner Tara Calishain. This is one of the very best newsletters available for Information experts, researchers and librarians. Every week Calishain presents a new list of valuable search and information sites, news from the search engine industry and tips on efficient Web searching. If you are looking for tips on search engine optimization, however, you must look elsewhere. Search Engine Watch NewslettersSearch Engine Wathc gives you a daily dose of search engine news and reviews in the free SearchDay newsletter. The Friday issue gives you a summary of the recent week's headlines. If you are a professional librarian or researcher or involved in search engine marketing, you should consider paying for access to the restricted parts of Search Engine Watch, including this newsletter. It is highly recommended! Search Engine Land NewslettersDanny Sullivan & Co over at Search Engine Land produces several informative newletters on search engines, search and search engine marketing. SearchCap is a daily recap of search engine news. It provides a summary of what happened in search at the end of each business day. Search Month is a monthly review of search news. Search Engine Guide NewsletterThe Search Engine Guide daily newsletter is edited by Robert Clough and gives you short summaries of the main search engine related headlines of the day, links included. Yes, you may find many of them at the Pandia Search World home page as well, but Clough has the ability to find many gems you will not find on other SE sites. It is highly recommended. If you think a daily delivery of search engine headlines is too much to handle, you may select the weekly edition instead. About SearchLight Web Search NewsletterThe About Web search subsite has also a newsletter on search engines called The WebSearch newsletter. It is basically a newsletter that keeps you informed about the latest additions to the About site on search engines. There is a lot of useful and well written articles on this site, and if you want to keep track of the latest development, do subscribe to this free newsletter. Blogs and RSS feedsSome argue that the age of the Internet newsletters are coming to an end. Anyone who has tried to publish one, knows how hard it is to get the newsletters past the spam filters. Moreover, more and more sites (including Pandia) is providing web feeds/RSS feeds which can be read by a newsreader or included in portal home pages, giving you real time alerts every time your favorite site has posted a new article. It is really a matter of preference, really. For a list of search engine oriented blogs and news services, see the Pandia Search Engine Detective. Most of them provide RSS feeds. To subscribe to Pandia's RSS feeds using one of the relevant services, see our RSS information page. See also:
