Searching the Web - Help
Use the pull down menu to select search directory, index or engine. Enter your search query in the text field and click on "Search!" Just enter two or three words if you are unfamiliar with the search syntax rules of the various search services. If you are searching the Web for an exact phrase -- like "European Union" -- enclose the words with double quotation marks. If you want to make sure a certain word is present on the pages found by the search engine, put a plus-sign in front of the word, like this: +lion. There should be no space between the + and the word. If you want to exclude pages that has a certain word, put a minus-sign in front of the word, like this: -elephant. Pull down menu options - PandiaPandia Web Search is the Pandian flavor of the Google search engine. It is definitely worth a try though! Select "Dictionary" to check the spelling or meaning of an English word. Select Answers.com to search through their huge database of answers to various questions taken from a large number of sources. They call it a encyclodictionalmanacapedia. Select Wikipedia to search the very popular online encyclopedia. The content of Wikipedia is free, written collaboratively by people from all around the world. This website is a wiki, which means that anyone with access to an Internet-connected computer can edit, correct, or improve information throughout the encyclopedia. Blog search lets you search one of the leading blog search engines. Select "books", "music" or "videos" to search the inventory of the world famous Amazon.com online store.
